In the midst of quite a few long days and some higher levels of intensity it became clear that you do not need to train to suffer. You just have to go do it. And in coming to this conclusion it feels that a barrier to improving performance or attaining fulfillment just got lifted. For if we do not need to either train, nor get permission, nor deny suffering, then indeed when we go down the THPL path and we do “suffer” for whatever reason, they we fully understand the power that we have. The other side of the story is that the fear of suffering can keep us from being bold, going big, doing something awesome. But should we leave it there – no way, no how – we cannot avoid that which makes us better
