Trade Stress for Focus

When we take on the mission of THPL we take on a higher order version of “life accountability” and with this can come a burden, one created by the goals and objectives of a journey focused on improving in the areas of Life, Learning and Fitness.  And for the most part this kind of “burden” (or in some cases stress) can lead us down a path that is less productive and more destructive.  We need not turn our goals into barriers – we need to think about our goals as aspirations…..aspirations that we are privileged to try to achieve.  There is nothing negative on the journey – only our life and the choices we make and the ways that we go about executing on our own version of our lives.  SO, when we feel stress that comes from our pursuit to improve we need to step back and switch to a more intense focus, rather than stress (or anxiety) – focus helps us achieve more – stress sets us up for resistance and struggle.  It really is as simple as a mindset shift – keep saying – focus, focus, focus and the stress will subside.   And when this happens our journey just gets better and better
