There have been many times on the THPL journey when I have stumbled upon or heard about a feat of athletic performance that I wonder how it is possible and then turn my mind to.... really anything is possible – it is just time and mindset that are in the way. And that over time both perspectives evolve to the “yes, anything is possible”. And so today when I read about the Iron Cowboy, the world record holder in many an Ironman category, and I read that he recently completed 50 ironman races (swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, run 26.2 miles), in 50 states, in 50 days, I just shook my head and felt in my heart that the only thing that is in the way of us accomplishing what we want to..... is us. Do we want something bad enough to get it – and if we do then we can do just that. Having done a five ironman races, it is with awe and respect that I congratulate James Lawrence on his remarkable achievement. Makes me really think about my goals, and all of our goals for 2016. How bold will we be? – for sure it will not be the same 50-50-50 that the Iron Cowboy completed but I bet there is a goal of similar audacity that each of us can take on. Let’s start thinking about it and see where it gets us. The fun begins! Go Iron Cowboy go!
Loving life, knowing anything is possible
