What the Future Holds

The THPL journey should be one that we travel on throughout our life.  And as we advance in age it is even more important that we stay focused on our core Life, Learning, and Fitness principles and goals.  It is how we will live the fulfilled life that we often talk about achieving.  And, so, it struck me as I read Outside magazine about 71-year-old British explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, who just completed the Marathon de Sables, a six-day, 155-mile ultramarathon that he is a THPL community member, even if he didn’t know we were out here.  When interviewed about his “advanced age” he stated  “I would consider life not worth living if there weren’t some form of challenge of a physical nature. It’s just what I’ve always done since I can remember, and it would be pointless existing without a challenge.”

So, there you have it – there are people who live how we describe THPL even though they have never heard about THPL directly.  We have kindred spirits, the world around, and we have to seek them out and also role model for them, and others, how we should live, with adventure and challenge in our life.

Loving life, with challenge in my life
