In many ways tonight is really not a typical Sunday night, I say that because it is the evening before Patriots Day in Massachusetts. Patriot’s day commemorates the battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battle of the American Revolution and it is the day that for 118 years the Boston Marathon has been run. That is a remarkable streak and the race has seen its share of amazing finishes, tough weather and many surprises (remember the Rosie Ruiz scandal). Well tomorrow portends to be an interesting race; the weather might get the best of us. Current forecast is 100% chance of rain, high 40’s, rain and winds of up to30-40 mph Knowing this is good – we can bring all the gear that can help us get to the finish line, we can get mentally prepared and we can get give it the best we have. Feels like tomorrow might just fall into the adventure category. Run, and then run some more and keep the elements from winning. Might not be a personal best but we can certainly make it as enjoyable as possible - the revolutionary soldiers didn’t let a bit of weather get in the way of their mission and tomorrow we will do the same
Loving life, running the streets of Boston
