The edge of the lot

Spend some time on the THPL journey and you will find yourself going further and farther in any of the three themes, life, learning, fitness.  We love it when we are pushed.  We seek it out and we make a point of amping it up every chance we get.  So, what I cannot understand, is that when we find ourselves in a parking lot, for whatever shopping reason we have at the time, we spend time looking for the “closest” spot we can find.  It is a rare moment when we drive to the furthest part of the parking lot and take a bit longer walk to the store.  Seems it would be of our benefit to park far away.  We would immediately get a spot, we would get more walking in and we would, most likely, put our car at minimal risk of damage.   By so doing we might even create a nice collateral affect in that we open up “close” spaces for those people who really need them.  Seems to me that it is time to change the normal parking lot approach and make a point of parking, all the time, regardless of condition, as far away as we can from the store.  Give it a try – at least once, and then do it again and then before you know it we will have established a new pattern.  One that brings more benefit than not and makes you feel THPL every time you go shopping.  Yea, baby we are different!  Love

Loving life, when on the edge of the lot….
