We know the age-old proverb; it is not what you know but who you know. And it is not all that hard to understand why this is the case on our THPL journey. If we are to take it to the next level, if we are to learn on the journey, if we are to do things differently than we have in the past then the best way to do this is to find other THPL inclined “friends” and hang with them more and more. Think of it this way, if we pick the right people to hang with we will be pushed and challenged, and supported and directed. We will rarely make a compromise and slow down for someone else. Instead of slowing down we will feel the need to go faster, read more, think bigger. The allure of being with the right people is magnified every time we have to slow down and pace ourselves. This is ok when we choose but it cannot be how we live. So, let’s find people, smarter, faster, and more driven than us and hang with them every moment we can.
