A day off

THPL is a lifestyle that encourages us to engage on every level, every day, across three core themes of Life, Learning and Fitness.  And it is in this very active and involved life that we can grow and develop and enjoy all that life has to bring while on this journey.  There are times, when we are very active, that we might either be told, or feel like, we need a day-off.  And it is from this that we need to think just a bit differently.  The question is what do we need a day off from?  Is it maybe a break, boredom, excess?  Or something else, the influence of others who want us to slow down?  We need to think long and hard about how to live, a lifestyle of sorts, that will tell us how to meter what we do, sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes a lot and the like.  So, maybe the question is not, do we need a day-off, maybe the question is how to use our energy on the THPL journey.  We need to fully embrace THPL and how it fits in our life and it will make the choice of “on or off” to us – not to a formula or format.  We will do much better this way as the THPL journey should be engaging and amazing and who would want to avoid that?
