For sure, no matter where we are on our journey, there are days like today that we all feel a deep sorrow in our heart. Tragedies like the one in Las Vegas transcend people, geography, culture and all else temporal. We are connected at moments like this because deep down we feel the same sense of loss, senseless and tragic. We grieve inside knowing that there is no explanation that will ever quiet the sadness, it is a part of life that weighs on us and then some. And we know that while we remember those who lost their lives today and send our prayers and condolences to the families of all involved we are to be thankful to all those who helped those in need and those who will help for a long time to come. We move forward from days like today a bit more slowly and while we will get back to a sense of normal soon we must think about how we can find a way to avoid days like today. Let’s all do what we can to keep our journey moving forward with hope and goodness in our heart. It is what is expected and necessary.
