Winter solstice

Yes, the journey has us back to the winter solstice, that day of little sunlight at the moment in the northern hemisphere. It is known, colloquially, as the shortest day of the year. This is because we think of sunrise to sunset as the day. An interesting idea  - does it affect what we do?. Do we alter our activities on our journey by the amount of daylight?  And to some degree while not explicitly conscious we are less active on the “shorter” days.  Still 24 hours in the day, we just do less, sit around more, wait for the sun to rise to get going again.  Not all bad, but also, not the way we should think or live.  We should decide to be active when we want to be – we should go out, do things, avoid inactivity pinned to daylight.  Maybe the activities are different but we all know that the more active we are the better we feel and the more that we get done.  So, as we cross over and start to get just a little bit more daylight for the days and months to come let’s encourage ourselves to do more regardless of daylight or not.  We will all feel better as a result.  Yea baby!

Loving life when I am doing things all the time
