THPL is on the move, an hour-long flight from Singapore, a crazy taxi ride, and I find myself in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. This is truly South East Asia. You can feel the energy all around, glass skyscrapers rising up amongst the palm trees, the streets crowded, the roads even more so, growth happening in a way that makes this region one of the focal points for global commerce. Thirty million people in the country, industries of agriculture and tourism complemented by high tech and financial services and you get a sense that a country like Malaysia can be a real contributor on the global stage. Even in a short trip there is much to experience, the local coffee vivid in its flavor, the food the intersection of many cultures, the sights and sounds alive and vibrant. Sitting, observing, feeling, it is just one more proof point that our journey needs to take us to places, not familiar and yet engaging and captivating. Time to keep moving forward.
