An active summer

As summer approaches, the days get warmer, we have more sunlight (yes in the Northern Hemisphere), and we are most likely planning some time off.  And while our journey will continue, regardless of the time of year, it seems appropriate that we take advantage of the summer weather and mindset to be active, to do more, to get our fitness to a solid level and beyond.  It can happen, we just have to make it so.  We start with outlining what we like to do, the frequency, the gear we need, the location and anyone we might want to bring along with us.  Then we make a commitment to ourselves (yes write it down) and then we map out the accountability plan, by day or week, that we will use to track our progress and our follow through to our plan.  We have the time, we have the structure, now all we need is the action to make it happen.  Let’s have fun making summer really active, there is nothing better that we can do.  Enjoy……
