There is the risk that at the end of a significant THPL journey that we could lose momentum, that with the need to recover or rejuvenate we might lose focus on what we need to do next on our journey. And yet, is it really the case that we need to come to a full stop after such a big journey? We are told (by some) that we need to recover, to take a break, to put it on hold for a while. Should we just accept the premise that rest (or a break) has to be a bookend of a big journey? No, there is no reason that we have to just stop, we can of course if that is of our choosing, but there is no rule, nor constraint that we have to follow. We can go big again and again, we can string together challenge after challenge and we can keep our forward momentum if that is what we want. So, as we reflect on our most recent challenge, we should consider all options open to us – rest, recover and be active as well. A big challenge after a big challenge….sure why not – seems like a THPL thing to do. Here’s to getting ready to go to Boston to run the marathon in a few days. No rest for the weary….indeed…..
