There are times and opportunities when we get to witness a vision of how, practice, feeling, choreography and commitment can excite our emotions and give us a warm feeling that is impossible to get in any other way. Watching the troupe of Rock company dance to Emeli Sande’s cover of “Imagine” to honor the victims of 2017’s Las Vegas shooting is one example of how this happens. Their youth belied the power of what they set out to do. It requires little more explanation or description – it just requires 90 seconds to feel something, deep and impactful and representative of the beauty of life at so many levels.
