Our journey takes us to different places and through different experiences. And from this we have an opportunity to learn so much. It is an experiential learning process one that makes the learning even more meaningful. It is a deep level of learning from which we can build a position. The position based on what we learn is something that we can discuss or defend in ways that are more deeply held because of our experience. And yet, it is good for us to be mindful of how we share what it is we learn. When we share, we need to depersonalize our argument, our position, our perspective, we want not to make it about who is right but rather about digging through to truth, logic and reason. It is a good and healthy process and one worth practicing again and again, in our head and out loud.
