15 hours of sunlight

Yes, it is that day.  Summer solstice in the northern hemisphere.  The most sunlight of the calendar year in a day.  At 40.71 degrees of latitude that converts to 15 hours of sunlight. And what a day it is – so much energy coming just from an early sunrise and a late sunset.  It just makes us want to be outside and active more than anything and it is the time of the year when movement seems to be rewarded more than at any other time.  We have at least three more months ahead with more sunshine than other times in the year, so let’s make sure to get outside, bring someone with us and enjoy what mother nature does for us at this time of year.  Sunshine, here we come!

Loving life when I am outside in the sun
