There is no question that, for as committed that we are, to all elements of the complete journey it is possible that we do not find time for exercise. All too often exercise is the activity that we compromise on. We think I can get to it tomorrow or it is ok when I am busy to not exercise. And while we can, from time to time, miss a day, we cannot make it a habit and still stay true to the journey and the completeness of our version of high performance. Thus, we need to develop techniques that provide no room for excuses. For example, on the days that we might cancel, we can go easier, we can find our favorite exercise and do it, we can invite others to exercise with us, we can find an accountability partner who will not be happy to hear that we are begging off our exercise plans. There are many techniques that we can use, and we might even need more than one, regardless, what matters is we stay focused on the journey and our goals and we push through to get it done. The reward for doing so is amazing and it will inspire us to keep going no matter what the obstacle.
