Today at the Berlin Marathon the winner, Kenenisa Bekele, came within two seconds of the world marathon record. Kenenisa is 37 years old and is getting faster, not slower with age. He and others in the sporting world are starting to show that records are more and more within reach and that age is not the obstacle it once was. It is good for us to look at these accomplishments and use them as our motivation for doing more, getting better and being bolder as we take on new challenges throughout our lives. Our knowledge gets deeper and deeper each year, our training and preparation better and better, and our mindset stronger and stronger. We, when we choose, can turn our capabilities into reality and do more than we thought possible. Hard to do – sure – of course, but the excuses go away, and the opportunity presents itself when we see more and more Kenenisa’s do what they do with no constraints and no doubts. Stay tuned, there are a lot of better and bests coming our way!
