There are ideas and concepts for how to live that connect well with how we choose to live and behave on our journey. One of these concepts is the “pay it forward” approach. Pay it forward is an expression that describes doing a good deed for someone whereby we are repaying the kindness that someone else showed for us. The idea, we think, stems from the author Lily Hammond in her 1916 book in the Garden of Delight. Essentially, we are doing good for humanity when we pay it forward. It is being the kind of person that we all want to be in life. Where we just do good for others. It is not all that hard to do. Let’s each remember that every act of kindness might just trigger another similar act and it is then possible that we can create an epidemic of kindness, doing good deeds and being good to each other. What a wonderful place that will be to live – now let’s go make it happen.
