In normal times, was that about a year ago….well regardless of the time what we remember is that we had a set of customs that seemed to be just part of who we are as people. One of the customs that are most common is applause. A universal expression of satisfaction, recognition, positivity and so much more. Applause can break out spontaneously and it can also be the way that we end an activity. We almost always know why we are applauding, and it feels like a necessary way to wrap together what we are in the middle of. It happened again over the past two days as the Pfizer vaccine got packed up and shipped to the first to receive it. At each step along the way there was that spontaneous applause. It connected us to what was going on and it made us feel better. It seemed to be necessary and it is good to hear applause again….for a very good reason. So, let’s put those hands together and feel the energy, we might be doing this more and more in the near future….
