The longer this pandemic goes on the more it feels like an ultra-marathon. For much of an ultra-race, we feel that “please be over” kind of feeling. As we do more and more long races the more, we realize, though, that wishing for a sooner ending of the race is fruitless and unproductive. And it is in these moments that we are reminded that we need to put our thoughts and perspectives in a good and positive place, even if it does not feel that way. All we have to do is to remember that we have an opportunity, every day, to give more than we get, and it is from this place that we will feel better. It starts when we make a goal to make someone happy as often as possible. Just looking for an opportunity to meet this goal can put us in a good place. And when we do make someone happy it is all worthwhile. The more we do the better we feel. So, even if it does take longer to get to a suitable end to this pandemic, we will have done so many good things for others that it will be an ok journey.
Loving life when I make someone happy
