I can be a hero

At times like this, there are so many thoughts that are crossing through our minds.  Shelter in place, wear a mask, go outside or not, work at home, travel, follow the rules and on and on and on.  While we wrestle with our own personal decisions there are many around us who, for sure, still have it worse and who will struggle to ever get back to even their version of normal.  No soap to wash their hands, no food to eat, no way to avoid others, there are more people living in this way than be.  It is at these moments when we have an opportunity to be a hero.  It is not about being bold or arrogant, it is just about being compassionate, caring, thoughtful.    Let’s know that as this pandemic touches more and more we need to do our part.  We have a chance to be a hero to someone we probably don’t even know.  It only takes a little time, or a little money, and a lot of care and we can indeed be a hero.  Let’s give it shot – it will make a lasting impact.
