The journey that we have been on, for so long, was rather predictable. We had our pattern of activities, and the challenges that we took on we knew how to get them done. And then well everything was turned upside down and we would be correct if we said that we did not see it coming. Maybe we were all too wrapped up in our time-starved, always-on, overloaded lives. We were so preoccupied that it is not surprising that we were not prepared, maybe not even aware of what was possible. And we find ourselves at this moment when the future is no less certain than it was in April as we were assessing what was going on. We will not be well served, however, if we just leave it here, though. There are lessons to be learned, successes to be replicated, and certain things to avoid. With the benefit of recent hindsight can we look around the corner, can we plan better for a circumstance like this one, can we build a DNA that gets us to react quicker, be ready for whatever comes our way, and be supportive of each from beginning to end. For when we are next asked, did you see it coming, if the answer is not yes (which it should be) then we will know what the game plan of action is, yes indeed!
