Mother Earth, a metaphor, for all that matters, and we need to care about. We personify her to help and assist us as we work to figure out how to take care of ourselves and the planet and to do so in harmony. It is possible with the proper thought, communication, commitment and effort that we can do as she would want us to do. A pledge to do better than we have, to consume less, to love harder, to act kinder, connect deeper, appreciate more and respect each other and the land that we walk on. It is all within our power and we can then hand over to all who come after us an earth that is better than when we had our time here. A noble and necessary mission, for sure!
