Don’t make an assumption

During our journey we develop frameworks for how we think and go about our processes.  And in so doing we create structures and belief systems that we believe strongly in. This serves us well when we apply it to ourselves but often when we apply it to others or how we perceive what others are doing we are heading into dangerous territory, It becomes even more challenging when we start to create false narratives in the absence of information.  We are certain that we know why something happened or did not happen, that is until we find out the true circumstance and realize we were sadly wrong.  It could be as simple as wondering why someone did not make it for a planned run.  We make bad assumptions about the reason why and when we find out the real reason we are often embarrassed by our faulty assumptions.  So, let’s keep the judging and assuming in check and we will find a much better place for all of us to be.  Here’s to getting it right more than not and leaving our judginess at the door.

Loving life when I am not making half-baked assumptions
