A detour

We push forward, we do it with solid intent and we use it as our method to get done what it is we need to get done.  And then there are those moments when we are faced with a detour, a different way to get to where we are going.  The detour while it can feel like it is a distraction or seems to take longer is really an opportunity for us to see something new, find a different way to get where we are going, and experience more of what is going on around us.  We need not avoid detours, we need to embrace them.  The detour teaches us how to deal with all that can be (and will be) thrown at us and in so doing we get more out of our journey.  It is what we want and expect and should get used to as we traverse our journey, yes indeed.

Loving life when I take a detour
