We have a tendency to move quickly while on our journey. We go from one place to another, one activity to the next and along the way, we stay focused on the task at hand. It is a good approach and gets us done what we need to get done. Along the way, though, it is quite likely that we will have an opportunity to make an impact, even if small when we keep our field of view bigger than what is required for our objective. We, for example, might see some trash on the sidewalk, we might see a person in need on side of the road, or a bed that should be made, or dishes that could be washed. The list is long and with some reflection, and acknowledgment that we don’t, often enough, do anything about what we see. So, the challenge to ourselves is to do something about it. Pick it up, put it away, clean it, whatever it takes, let’s just do it, make the effort to do a bit more that has an impact and benefits us all. Taking the journey to the next level is what we are called to do!
Loving life when I do something about it
