When on our journey we can often find ourselves having “the argument” with ourselves. And it could go something like this. I don’t need to exercise today; I did that yesterday or I don’t need to prepare for the meeting; I know my subject area or maybe even I don’t need to say I am sorry; they already know that. The argument attempts to use some sort of logic to get us off track. To let us “off the hook” by giving us some kind of reason to not do what we know we need to do. Let us not fall prey to this kind of thinking. We are better than that. We know how we should operate, execute, and live and we owe it to ourselves and to our community to live at the top of our game. So, let’s be ready for the argument and dismiss it every time. It will be, after all, the measure of our journey and all that it represents.
Loving life when I move past the argument
