The earth is a complex, diverse and integrated habitat. We share this wonderful green planet with a whole host of species and the interrelationship amongst us really matters. We cannot take it for granted and there have been way too many times when we have compromised our co-habitants for no good reason. We need days like today, Endangered Species Day, a day to celebrate, learn about, and take action to protect, all species, especially those that are threatened and endangered. This global day of action is critical to keeping the awareness high that we need to intervene and be active in protecting all species on Earth and ensuring that the Earth is a thriving, inhabitable planet. It is up to us to protect it and it starts with us today.
