Compassion for ourselves

When we set out on our journey, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to perform at the highest level that aligns with our potential and our intent. And as we go along, we might find that while we can be our own worst critics, there are others who challenge us, the decisions that we make, and how we go on our journey. With a bit of reflection, however, we should realize that pressing for improved performance does not have to translate to dissatisfaction or unhappiness. We can be happy with ourselves and push for better performance. Compassion for ourselves turns out to be a good way to maximize our potential as it optimizes how we go about our journey. So, let’s be mindful that we can always make it better for ourselves, and keeping a positive view today and tomorrow is exactly what we need
