Embrace the suffering

There are a lot of messages in the world around us that push us to want a life of comfort.  And while there is nothing inherently wrong with comfort it limits what we do and experience.  And while maybe not a popular philosophy, there is an alternative approach that would have us embracing suffering as an acceptable way to live.  Suffering does not mean “pain”; rather it means working through periods of struggle and difficulty and taking from it lessons and insights.  Embracing suffering also means understanding what human consciousness is about and establishing a deeper connection with our journey and our purpose.  So, while we might not make suffering a daily occurrence, we can embrace it rather than avoid it and get all of the requisite benefits.

Loving life when I embrace the suffering
