There are roles that we play while on our journey, some of them due to obligation and other roles because they inspire us, and then some that embody who we are and how we want to be thought about. The challenger is one of the roles that we often find ourselves in and one that we feel the most alive. It embodies the spirit of courage, resilience, and determination. It is the character we play when we fearlessly push beyond our boundaries when we confront obstacles and overcome them. When we are the challenger, we question the status quo, and we rail against convention. We push ourselves to the next level and seek out a greater good. By going “after it” again and again we set a foundation for our future success. It is critical that we have the courage to stay the course, defy the odds, and pave the way for a new set of possibilities. It is what we yearn for and how we feel about our journey when we are playing the role of challenger and loving it every step along the way.
