It is important to remind ourselves that we can, from time to time, get all too wrapped up in the journey. We get so connected to our goals that we sometimes, as the saying goes, lose the forest through the trees. It is a delicate balance between pushing too hard and doing enough to make progress. And yet, if we just take a moment, to take a breath, to think about the moment, to re-balance how we feel, we will ensure that we stay on track and achieve what we set out to do. It does not take long and taking a breath can be about talking it out, or going on a walk, or even taking a nap. All that matters is that we pause long enough to dissipate the anxiousness and connect back to the purpose of what we are setting out to do. Simple and effective, take a breath, yes indeed.
