Permission to recover

On this journey that we so, so, cherish, we can find ourselves so committed to our goals that we can forget that we can afford ourselves the grace that we deserve.  This form of grace is giving ourselves the permission to take a day off, or do nothing, or push a bit easier, or just take care of ourselves, and recover from all of the strain that we put on ourselves.  In fact, it might just be the best thing that we can do to improve our performance and help us achieve our goals. A bit of a break from time to time can make us feel better, be more powerful, reignite our interest, and just set us up for success.  It might be hard at first but giving ourselves permission to take a break and recover might just be the best skill that we can develop, especially if we want to go on this journey for a long, long time.
