For all that we can be thankful for and for all of the opportunity ahead, it is essential that we remember those who have been wronged or have less, those who are treated poorly, or have been disrespected. We all need to remember that it is up to us to make the journey better for others, through the example we set, the opportunities that we share, and the way that we treat each other. We do this with hope, because hopelessness is the enemy of opportunity. We do this with courage because all is possible when we try. And we do this with persistence because there is still a lot to do if we are to be part of a community that brings its best self to all that it does.
