We often hear "That which does not kill us makes us stronger" or “The journey worth taking can feel like climbing a mountain in a storm”. These points of sage wisdom are to remind us that resilience and personal growth are all about mindset. And while this is indeed true, it is important to know that it is ok that it does not feel good when we are faced with a difficult task. Knowing this frees us to accept what is tough and difficult. Acceptance enables us to work through uncertainty and doubt and sets us on the path to building resilience, increasing strength, and grow. Each time we work through the difficult task we learn how to show up stronger the next time, to handle more, and to find grace in the grind. Let "the difficult task" remind us that peak performance isn’t about avoiding hard things; it’s about leaning into them, trusting the process, and coming out the other side not just with the task completed, but with a better, stronger version of ourselves.
Loving life, when I accept the difficult task
