Know thyself

When Socrates, over 2,000 years ago, said “know thyself”, I am not sure that he was aware of the world we would all be living in so many years later.  Yet, his theme still carries on, and self-awareness is one dimension of human existence that always seems to need action and reflection.  In today’s world, where we are bombarded with external pressures, chasing the next shiny thing and fending for ourselves across the techno landscape, self-reflection takes on a new meaning.  We find ourselves battling the noise all the while needing to think about how to unlock our authentic potential.  Knowing thyself is really about intentional action, like seeking out honest feedback, tracking our progress, having good habits, and living with the good and the bad.  And when we start to know ourselves, we need to challenge our assumptions and be uncomfortable from time to time.  As it turns out, "knowing thyself" isn't a destination; it's a journey. So, let’s embrace it, get curious, and aim to become the best version of ourselves. It is worth it.
