The pace of life seems to be ever-increasing. We go from one activity to another, we put our heads down, and we plow forward. It certainly can work if our sole measure of success is down-the-middle progress. But lest we miss out on the so much more that is there for us, we need to open the aperture, expand our peripheral vision, and look deeper and more completely. When we do, we can see it, the potential, the possibility, the flicker of more waiting to be fanned into a roaring flame. It starts when we ask questions, challenge the status quo, and refuse to accept that it can only be one way. It is this spirited and active engagement that allows us to “see it” and do something about it. The more we see, the bigger the opportunity and the brighter our future can be. It is, after all, up to us to paint our picture of what our journey will look like on the canvas of our life.
