Holiday Mindset

Yes, there are only a few days to go till Christmas and so it might seem odd to be posting now about the holiday mindset but it is never too late to be thinking about what it is that is going on around us and how our mindset affects the way we perceive our experience.  When we are anxious, it’s because of our own doing.  Maybe we want to get to the store sooner, or we want to be included in a holiday party.  Regardless of the reason for our potential for un-happiness we have to realize that this is of our own making.  We create the need to be somewhere at a certain time. We create the need for things to turn out the way we want them to turn out. We create the desire for other people to invite us or to include us.  Ultimately we create our own anxiety. And what we also know is that being part of THPL community we have the keys to solve our own problems.  All we have to do is to disconnect from the issue, let it go, stop needing, that which is most likely not that important anyway.  Once you do this you will feel your mind open, your body loosen and the flow will come back.  Let things happen, and make your way through the flow of what others are doing.  We can still retain our THPL values - just remember that helping others and having the right mindset does not conflict with your beliefs. You can be kind and passionate and care about your family and your health and all those other good things … all the while letting things flow, and flowing with them.  Yes, this is the holiday mindset for sure.  Time to grab on and enjoy.

Loving life and the right holiday mindset.

Ciao
