A member of our THPL community sent me an article that listed out the top twelve things that successful people did before breakfast. Initially, my interpretation was you needed to do all of the activities before breakfast. Then I realized that it wasn’t an inventory of activities that we all needed to “check off” rather the point of the article is to highlight the fact, that you could, decide to accomplish a lot before the morning truly starts. That before others are even up, you can get things done and you can set yourself on a positive path every day. The more you accomplish early, the more you accomplish for the day. And so I reflected, what is it that I do before breakfast. Should I change anything? What might I like to add? And so this is the process for each of to embrace. Evaluate how you want to start you day, make it an active choice and then stick to it. The feeling of power and control and achievement that a strong morning gives you is nothing short of remarkable. So, amp up your THPL life and do some reading, exercising, writing, thinking…..whatever you feel – just do it before breakfast and do it a lot, and then sit back and smile – your day is already great.
