“Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge” – self asserted, Wikipedia is the closest entity to delivering on this vision. And it struck me that Wikipedia is an often under-appreciated source of knowledge. Further to the point, it would be unimaginable, on our THPL learning journey, to not use Wikipedia as a source of learning. And so I got to thinking about the discipline that we take to our fitness endeavors and thought shouldn’t we take the same discipline to learning. What if we were to use Wikipedia as a trigger for learning? What if we went to Wikipedia once a day or once a week and did a little search and discovery. It would be hard not to learn more - from there we could go deeper or wider, or we could link from subject to subject, and by so doing we could bring our learning alive and give true meaning to our THPL journey.
Loving life every day that I am learning.
