How to Commit

As we get closer and closer to 2016 the need to start thinking about goals for the new year increases.  And I am sure that most of us have been toying with different ideas that could form the fabric of our annual commitments.  I have been thinking about getting back to the Ironman triathlon race commitment.  It is a big commitment especially balancing the need to do a lot of biking, running and swimming while on the road.  And so before making the big commitment to an Ironman race for 2016, I thought it would be good to take a day and do a swim, a ride and a run.  And that is what I did today.  Long distances in each discipline worked and I even felt good with the swim (my nemesis).  And so today was the first big step towards signing up for an Ironman in 2016.  The next step is to build a plan and then line up the resources that are needed to make the training possible.  And so with a test day, a plan and resources it will be easy to commit and then enjoy the process and the activities.  2016 here I come!
