The THPL journey gives purpose to all regardless of age. Young or old we can pursue our passions and we need not use age as a reason for thinking that something is not possible. There are more and more examples of how we can do more when we are young and more when we are old than ever imagined. So many examples that we each know – find someone with a great mindset and you will have a hard time knowing their age. Personal attitude and approach frame what is possible and how we are perceived. If we believe it, others will, and all becomes possible. A cool example of this came from this past weekend when legendary mountain biker, Ned Overend won the inaugural Fat Bike National Championship. At the great age of 59 he beat some of the best that mountain biking has to offer and it was unsurprising to many that he won. He is a three-decade pro mountain biking veteran and he has always put in more effort and has shown more grit than any competitor that he has come up against. He is as fit as he was 30 years ago and he proves that we can stay competitive at the highest level through all of our life if we choose to do so. Let’s celebrate that our THPL journey will be great throughout our lives – we just have to decide to make it so!
Loving life every single year we are here.
