THPL goes to Sydney, Australia and after the fifth overnight flight in seven days all senses are reset by the curiousness that is the way world works. By going “down under”, February becomes summer and not only is the weather different (and amazing) everyone’s attitude and activities are different. Whether it was the Dragon boat races, the omnipresent summer garb, or the streets crowded with everyone enjoying the beauties of summer, you got the sense that something is different. One world, yes,, maybe even one version of THPL but definitely not one time of year.
It is so interesting to see and experience the difference in attitude and activity in winter versus summer. Summer is truly vibrant and energizing and it is easy to get back into an outside rhythm. It really is easy to see that the story of the day is that the weather, and locale, and situation drive us to behave differently and we should enjoy it when we have it. Whether above or below the equator, whether we have lots of effort to get there or not, when we find ourselves in “summer” it is only right and just that we take a run to the Sydney Opera House (for example) or we explore that which is around us and then make sure to take it in and enjoy. The weather will change for certain; the opportunity will always be there to get out and live a THPL big life. Seize it and enjoy it as time goes by quickly and travelling to visit summer is a bit out of reach from time to time.
Loving life traveling around the world….
