And the Winner Is

I hear from the people at the National Weather Service that it is going to snow again in the northeast tomorrow.  But isn’t it almost spring? Time for warmer days and flower buds and time outside.  This winter was a tough one – we paid our dues, didn’t we?  And now just when it seemed ok to have hope that winter was a thing of the past it comes back at us again.  UGH.  What an unfortunate situation……  And as I contemplated these and many other not so positive feelings that surfaced I realized that there are the things we can control, and that which we cannot control.  And that stress related to that which we have no control over is just not good for us.  What are we to do?  I think we need to find a way to ignore the tendency to worry about that which we cannot control.  Maybe we can turn the whole thing into a neutral at worst.  What if we just laughed at the situation, realized that it was ridiculous and blocked any and all “bad” feelings.  How different might it be!  We have too many “good” challenges to take on with our THPL journey than to use up any energy on that which we have no control over.  Yea, that’s it.  Good advice given, and good advice taken.  And so, if it does snow tomorrow, I am going to laugh and I will feel better about it, and even feel like I won.  Mother nature will not get the best of me with her silly joke of snowing when it should be warm and sunny.   Right???

Loving life when smiling and smiling…
