There is a risk, when we set out on our THPL journey, that we could lose our way. That the compelling nature of the THPL mission can become muted. And there are days, for sure, when it feels that the challenges that are a by-product of the busy lives we lead are becoming an even bigger distraction that we thought. The unfortunate result is that without the proper focus, and priority, we can be tempted to drop the THPL mission. Interestingly, it does not happen all at once, it gradual and insidious. We lose our interest in a part of the journey, it matters none if it is life, learning or fitness – what matters is we become less committed and before long we have move away in total.
Knowing that the THPL is a good one, that the journey is how we add value into our life and the lives of others it is a good reminder to set yourself at a regular frequency on reflection while on the journey. And that part of the way you do that productively is by doing three things :
1. Have an increased focus on THPL in your life and use focus to sustain it as a priority.
2. Work to bring a greater sense of calm to you life so that when the distraction “arrows” come your way they do not hit, and;
3. Be present (in the moment). Don’t try to multi-task or do too much at once, it can wait, get done what you need and then move on.
The THPL life is not that complicated it just needs strength, vibrancy and frequency to succeed. Keep the faith – the results are worth it
Loving life, when living THPL
