Thinking a bit differently

THPL is normally on the “right side” of the normal curve.  And on our journey we can easily get caught up in the “more is better” life.  But, maybe, sometimes, less is more.  Often, for example, we think that running or riding more is better.... but there are times that when we "do more" it comes at the expense of recovery and quality work.  So could it be that doing less is better?  Thinking about our time-starved lives maybe we can allow ourselves to accept the mantra of 'quality over quantity'.  The next challenge to take on is that we need not always be a a slave to our schedule. We should listen to our body and back off or take a day off we we are tired, even if you don't have a scheduled day off from training,  It might even be good to have a two-to-three-day stretch when we don't run because we are busy with work and family.  And we should think about this as an ok situation. Overall there are a lot of ways that we can do things differently.  It does not mean that we have to do it differently – it just means that we should consider it.  And with a few ideas you can feel free to experiment – have fun – it is after all part of the journey, and  is something that we should enjoy.
