A few days into another trip to London and I have been resisting the temptation to jump in a taxi to go to my meetings. The traffic is not helpful but more than anything the benefit of being in a city (like London) is the opportunity to log a few more miles, to see the surroundings and to spend time outside. It really is the preferred mode of transport – it just requires advanced planning, a bit of extra time and a will to walk, regardless of the “normal” rainy weather. It really is all about attitude – with the right attitude, walking in the rain, around London has a “romantic” feel to it. It shows us that a bit of rain can do no harm and that the THPL journey can feel good and come alive in all circumstances. What could be better than a walk in the rain?
