Feeding the machine

On our THPL journey, especially when we are pushing ourselves, physically or emotionally or intellectually what we find out is that nutrition makes a big difference.  Nutrition and hydration are part of a foundation for healthy learning and living.  And as busy as we can get we need to remember to stay true to properly feeding the “machine”.  Here are a few things to keep track of so that nutrition can remain a priority and become an enabler of maximum performance.  .

·      Keep a water bottle nearby -take water breaks throughout the day.

·      Eat healthy treats - such as whole fruit, whole grain crackers, or veggies and dip.

·      Learn how to pick the healthiest foods from a menu when you are out at lunch or dinner.

·      Make some of your reading to be about nutrition  - you will be surprised with what you can learn and
