As we pass along on our THPL journey there are many times that we might avoid doing something because we have fear of the activity, what might happen, or because of a lack of knowledge. What is interesting is that fear is easy to embrace because it takes essentially no effort. We are stopped in our tracks and it ends there. Fear wins because we put little to no effort to address the issue or the obstacle. So, then, maybe all it takes to overcome fear is effort. That is putting in a determined attempt to do something about the fear. Work to build knowledge, work to find the right support community, work to find experienced resources who can help us work through the obstacles (fear) that are getting in the way. Interesting to think that all we need is a bit of effort, which is under our control, to conquer our fears. Now that is an exciting thought!
